Camino de Santiago el Grande á el Peg.no [Pequeño]

Attributed to Diego Rivera

In an unpublished letter Dr. Ramón Favela writes about this work, “In my opinion, the drawing or sketch, which displays minute brush strokes or daubs of sepia in the waterfall indicating rocks, is possibly an open air sketch or invention, seen from above the falls. It is an expertly done drawing, in the rendering of the scale of the figures (artist at easel) and horse and two figures on [the] plain above the falls, and in the treatment of the flying birds. It might very well date from 1905-06.”
